The Cascade Ultra is our highest-performance canoe — a race-proven design adapted for aggressive touring and competitive paddling. It's the fastest hull we've ever built.
The Cascade Ultra began life as a custom commission for a competitive paddler preparing for the Yukon River Quest. After three seasons of iteration and testing, we refined it into a production model for paddlers who want uncompromising speed without sacrificing seakeeping. The full carbon fiber layup produces a hull that weighs just 24 lbs — lighter than most aluminum fishing canoes — yet passes our 400 lb drop test without visible deformation. The V-shaped entry transitions through a flat mid-section to a fine stern exit, producing minimal stern wave at the 4–6 knot cruising speeds this canoe was designed for. Not for beginners — this hull rewards precise technique.
